Au début de la saison, j'ai subi une grave blessure à la suite d'une chute dans une course. J'avais perdu confiance en mes aptitudes. J'ai rencontré Chantale qui m'a appris plein de trucs pour retrouver ma confiance. Elle m'a aussi appris à visualiser, une technique très importante pour optimiser l'entrainement. Après quelques séances, mes performances ont montés en flèche et j'ai connu une fin de saison infernale sur le circuit de la coupe du Québec. Chantale Lussier, Ph.D

Dr. Lussier is the Founder and Mental Performance Director of Elysian Insight, a company dedicated to mental performance and mental health solutions. A highly sought after specialist in her field, and regional representative (Quebec) for the Canadian Sport Psychology Association, Chantale has worked with hundreds of national and internationally-ranked competitive, elite, and pro athletes. Chantale is more than familiar with both optimal mental performance and athletic transitions. A graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, she enjoyed a 12-year career as a professional dance artist (stage, film, and television), choreographer, teacher, and artistic director. She earned a B.A. (honours) in psychology during her last five years in dance. On the heels of her retirement, she pursued an M.A. in human kinetics (sport psychology), and a PhD in education (psycho-pedagogy). Chantale developed a unique 3-year mental performance program for The School of Dance’s Contemporary Dance Diploma program, helping dancers navigate their intensive training and transitions into the professional dance realm. The go-to Mental Performance Consultant for the Ottawa Senators (NHL), she also helped Hockey Canada’s Women’s U18 National Team earn 3 gold medals and a silver medal at the IIHF’s World Championships. Noteworthy, she was a Mental Performance Specialist for Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). A cancer survivor, Chantale understands the value of perspective in healing and utilized her mental skills set to support her journey back to wellness. As Project Manager for the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Canadian Paralympic Committee, and the COPSI network’s total wellness program Game Plan, Chantale is passionate about enhancing quality mental health literacy, supporting healthy transitions, and fostering a culture of excellence in sport and life.
